Biography

Mr. Syed Usama Bukhari is currently a Research Student at Kyushu University, Ito Campus in Japan. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Foundation University (Islamabad, Pakistan). Throughout his academic and professional journey, Mr. Bukhari has cultivated a robust skill set in software development and data analysis, specializing in Web Development i.e. Laravel & JavaSE. Before joining Kyushu University, Mr. Bukhari contributed to several projects and internships that highlight his passion for healthcare technology and data-driven solutions. His previous work includes, optimized medical software systems by implementing speech-to-text capabilities (using Whisper) and enhancing search with Elastic Stack. He has also led projects related to data standardization - such as integrating into microservice architectures and developed web solutions for Outcome-Based Education (FYP) . Currently, Mr. Bukhari’s research centers on Retrieval Augmented Generation for medical prescriptions and real-time assistance during patient-doctor consultations. By leveraging his expertise in full-stack development, emerging AI frameworks, and medical data standards, he aims to create accessible and efficient digital healthcare solutions. His broader goal is to improve healthcare delivery—particularly in low-resource settings—through scalable, data-driven applications.

Kyushu University - LabSync

LabSync is a web-based laboratory management platform designed specifically for university research environments. The system consolidates core operational functions — research progress tracking, weekly scheduling, attendance management, member responsibilities, announcements, event coordination, and shared resource allocation — into a single, unified interface. A functional first version has been developed and is currently deployed in the Social Tech Lab at Kyushu University, validating the core concept under real operational conditions. This project seeks to advance LabSync from a single-lab prototype into a fully customizable, multi-laboratory platform capable of adapting to the diverse workflows of different research domains, ranging from information science and media studies to experimental and life science laboratories.

The project that integrates the Ollama-based models and audio recognition technology to provide accurate and efficient medical question answering.
